Welcome to Adelaide

It is with pleasure that I invite you to Adelaide for the Royal Australian  and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) 2010 Annual Scientific Meeting from Sunday 21 – Wednesday 24 March 2010.

Our Scientific Committee has invited renowned national and international speakers and prepared a program of wide appeal, promising to satisfy  all levels of scientific and clinical interest across our speciality. Our theme, It’s not all black and white acknowledges that evidence does not and may never give us all the answers we need in providing high quality care, whilst  our scientific program will highlight recent developments that define high quality practice for which we strive. We also hope that our theme may trigger in you the desire to visit Australia’s first resident pandas, the only giant pandas in the southern hemisphere since their arrival at the Adelaide Zoo in late 2009.

The social program promises to be a highlight of the meeting with events  held at the South Australian Art Gallery and the National Wine Centre. Adelaide’s fine autumnal weather also provides a great opportunity  for pre or post conference mini-breaks, many readily accessible from  Adelaide, and a better reason to bring partners!

So come along to Adelaide. I look forward to greeting you, your colleagues and partners, for what promises to be another fantastic Adelaide meeting!
