The RANZCOG 2010 ASM focuses on challenges in O&G that are not all black and white. For black and white, visit the pandas at the Adelaide Zoo.
Wang Wang and Funi have arrived at the Adelaide Zoo in late 2009 from China and taken up residence for 10 years. The loan of the pandas occurs under an agreement on cooperation in giant panda conservation, part of a worldwide program that aims to ensure the long term survival of the iconic species.
The RANZCOG 2010 ASM will be supporting delegates and family members wishing to visit Wang Wang and Funi by providing discounted entrance tickets to the Adelaide Zoo. These can be picked up from the meeting registration desk at the Adelaide Convention Centre from Saturday 20 March 2010 onwards (please click here to view the meeting registration desk opening hours).
In addition to the pandas, there are also other reasons to visit the Adelaide Zoo. It is home to over 1,800 animals and almost 300 species of exotic and native mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and fish exhibited in magnificent botanic surroundings now expanded to 8 hectares.
The Adelaide Zoo operates daily from 9am – 5.30pm. For further information on Wang Wang and Funi, and the Zoo in general, please visit www.zoossa.com.au/adelaide-zoo
